The anticipated HP CF258A, CF258X and HP CF289A compatible toner cartridges are finally available to retail markets. Unfortunately, both, standard and high yield toners are only available without chips. What does that mean to you?
If you would like to save money by using our compatible cartridges, you will have to re-use the chip from your original HP toner that came with your printer. You can use the tool that comes with each of our compatible toners to remove the chip from your empty original cartridge and place it into the new compatible cartridge. The toner will work just fine, however, the toner level status will be disabled. The printer will tell you that you are out of toner, but you can ignore the message and continue printing as usual until your toner is empty.
The chip from your starter toner or standard yield toner will work in our compatible high yield toners too. Again, the toner reader level status will be disabled, but you can continue to print until your toner is truly empty or until your pages are too light to read. You can use the same chip several times.
The compatible cartridges with chips will be available around May 2020. Until then, please refer to our video or contact us if you have any questions.
Please watch this helpful video to see how easy it is to change out the chip and you will be on the way to save money! This will work for the following printers: HP M404, HP M428, hP M528, HP M507 series printer.
