- Open the front cover
2. Remove the toner cartridge and drum unit assembly from the printer and set it on a flat surface
3. Push down the green lock lever and take the toner cartridge out of the drum unit
4. Unpack the new drum unit and remove protective covers, paper, etc.
5. Remove the toner from the used drum unit and push the toner cartridge firmly into the new drum unit until it lock into place
6. Reinsert the toner cartridge and drum unit assembly back into the printer
7. Close the front cover of the printer
