When your HP printer flashes the 10.00.10 Supply Memory Error, it typically means that the printer is unable to read the toner cartridge data. The toner cartridge is present but is either not seated correctly or may be defective.
When this error occurs, a question mark may appear on the toner level gauge of the cartridge that is having the error and the display will read “10.00.10 Supply Memory Error”
Follow these troubleshooting steps to try and resolve the issue:
- Open the front door and remove the toner cartridge.
- Check the supplies memory chip to ensure there are no scratches and that it is seated firmly in the correct orientation. Misaligned reused chips can be carefully adjusted. If the chip is damaged, replace the toner cartridge.
3. Reinstall the toner cartridge.
4. Close the front door.
5. If the message displays again, turn the printer off and wait several minutes and then turn it back on.
6. If the error persists, and it is a genuine HP toner cartridge, contact your vendor, your HP-authorized service or support provider or contact HP customer support for assistance in resolving the issue. http://www.hp.com/go/contactHP
7. If it is an aftermarket (non-HP brand) or re-manufactured toner cartridge, contact the vendor where purchased.
